Bonaire to welcome group of scuba diving wounded veterans this month

The Caribbean island of Bonaire will be welcoming a group of military veterans from the United States later this month. Twelve wounded soldiers will be taking scuba diving holidays in Bonaire where they can discover the stunning underwater world while completed the final stages towards their diving certification.

A survey carried out by the Catlin Group is expected to reveal the full extent of the damage of the Caribbean's coral reefs. The region is one of the world's most popular for scuba diving holidays and scientists will be carrying out one of the largest surveys yet, starting in Belize and then moving to Mexico, Anguilla, Barbuda, St Lucia, Turks and Caicos, Florida and Bermuda.
