Skegness Sub-Aqua Club is giving British people the chance to learn how to dive as they launch scuba diving lessons at the Embassy swimming pool every Wednesday evening. Participants of all ages can learn the basics of this fantastic underwater sport.

People who would like to learn how to scuba dive will be given the opportunity to do so in Skegness, Lincolnshire as the Skegness Sub-Aqua Club launches weekly diving sessions at the Embassy indoor swimming pool.

Would-be divers of all ages are invited to participate in the scuba diving lessons that take place every Wednesday evening between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.

A spokesperson from the Skegness Sub-Aqua Club, said: “You don’t have to be a brilliant swimmer. We have instructors that will take great care of you. Age is no barrier as long as you are at least 12-years-old.”

The sessions will take participants through the basics of diving so that they can choose go on to train for a scuba diving certification.

Come and see us and arrange a ‘Try-Dive’.

“All you need to bring when you do your ‘Try-Dive’ is your swimming things, towel and old t-shirt. If you enjoy your first dive you can book a second and then you may decide to become a member of our club and then do the BSAC (British Sub-Aqua Club) training.

“Then you will be able to dive in designated lakes and the sea here and abroad, where you can see wrecks, rocks and sea life." the statement from Skegness Sub-Aqua Club added.

Try-Dive sessions cost £10 and interested participants can go on to take PADI scuba diving courses that will enable them to discover the world’s underwater environment.

Scuba diving is becoming an increasingly popular sport and once certified, divers can explore some of the best scuba diving destinations in the world including the Caribbean, Red Sea, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, Hawaii, the Maldives, the Seychelles, Belize, Malaysia and Florida.

During scuba diving holidays, divers can get close to spectacular marine creatures such as sea turtles, manta rays, sharks, whales, octopus, lobsters, crabs, jellyfish, seahorses, dolphins and hundreds of types of colourful tropical fish.

The world’s oceans are home to several beautiful ecosystems made up of vibrant corals, sea grasses, algae, reefs, and thousands of species of marine species. Wrecks of sunken ships and aircraft are scattered across ocean beds all over the globe, and artificial reefs create a habitat to boost marine life in declining areas.
