Hotel Rancho El Tesoro Overview

Enjoying an enviable positioning in a calm and strikingly beautiful environment the Hotel Gran Caribe Rancho El Tesoro is located very close to the city of Nueva Gerona in Cuba's southern Isle of Youth, or  Island de la Juventud, located about 150 km from Havana and connected to Cuba's main land by boat and air plane. This charming and little hotel was founded back in 1956 and was designed with good taste to perfectly blend in with the stunning surroundings.

Ideal for scuba diving enthusiasts, this quaint hotel lies situated close to the Bibijagua Beach (with its striking black sand) and the Punta Frances National Marine Park. Other nearby  attractions to visit include the Los Indios San Felipe Natural Preserve, the pictographs in Punta del Este caves and many more sights, all easily accesible via organised excursions bookable thorugh the hotel. Nearby sites also include the Model Prison and the Museum of the Property.

Highly recommended for backpackers and no-frill travellers, although very basic, hotel facilities include a bar, a "criollo" Cuban cuisine restaurant, a little shope and private parking.
