Las Cuevas Overview

Beautifully perched on a hillside location, the Las Cuevas resort hotel is named after the caves that dot the landscape the hotel property sits on. Situated a mere 20 minutes walking distance from the city's famed historical centre and World Heritage Site and only a few minutes from Ancon beach, here guests are positioned in the middle of it all, within easy access to two very different worlds - rich colonial culture and sunny beach. 

Surrounded by lush gardens and set overlooking Cuba's southern coast, it is one of the most popular hotels in Trinidad with the best countryside views and yet within easy access to both colonial civilisation and miles of endless beach. After sunset the hotel comes alives with music and dancing at its very own nightclub.

While it lies situated up a steep hill (a quiet setting many will appreciate), guests can easily walk (downhill) to the restaurants and nightlife of Trinidad, and then take a taxi home. A perfect base from which to explore the old colonial core of Trinidad this hotel is very popular with tour groups.

Built in the 1950s, the Las Cuevas hotel is surprisingly spacious, featuring rows of concrete bungalow-style rooms, a round outdoor swimmming pool, an outdoor tennis court and a fantastic underground cave dance club for party lovers (located only a short distance from the property). Two restaurants and two bars complete the picture offering fresh selections of Cuban vegetables and fruits as well as assorted dishes from international cuisine. A conference room, a taxis desk, a souvenir shop, a beauty salon and a tour booking desk are also available on-site.

Accommodation at Las Cuevas is provided in the form of spacious air-conditioned double and triple standard guest rooms, all equipped with twin beds, satellite TV, telephone, private bathroom with shower, radio, balcony or terrace and safety deposit box (using the safe incurs an additional charge).
